Meeting Minutes
March 16, 2011

26 Members in Attendance
Meeting opened at 7:08 pm.
Secretary read minutes from previous meeting, February 16, 2011. (HK) Minutes were read and accepted by the membership.
Treasurer’s Report: Dennis Keegan
Membership was advised of balances in checkbook and CD.
Current membership: 115 members plus two that will join this evening.
Club voted to move $1000 to move to CD.
Jim Cyr made motion to accept Treasurer’s report/ Unanimous vote to accept.
Old Business/New Business
IMAA Event: Loren advised membership that we should vote to either have an IMAA or AMA sanctioned events.
IMAA- one vote.
AMA sanctioned event: 15 votes (Fly in)
Bill David recommended that we have a Fly-In as a Memorial for those members that have passed away.
Club voted in agreement.
Events dates were discussed.
War Birds is approx. July 10th and other event is on or about Labor Day.
Club to decide if we should restrict aircraft or any allow any airplane.
AMA Open Fun Fly (No Helicopters) *19Vote Yes/ 3 Vote for Helicopters/Carried Planes Only
August 21/Sunday, One Day Event
ESCF Memorial Fun Fly- Open to all sizes, all categories of fixed wings
Agreed upon Name for Event
Volunteers needed/Membership will discuss closer to event.
Snowplowing: all set.
Training: Monday and
Wednesday (AJ) – Will put that on the club website.
Time: 3 or 4 in the afternoon until 7 pm or by appointment. Jim will post that
on the website.
Events: Set Dates for all the other club events
Fun Flys (Discuss Landing Fees)
No Combat Event this year. May run a few combat runs in the Fun Fly
Build contests: 5/18/2011
Memorial Day Picnic: 06/05/2011 (Saturday)
Heli-Event: 06/25/2011 (Saturday) *Loren /Joe Acosta will run that. Event should end at 4 or 5. $15 Landing Fee
ECSF Memorial Fun Fly: August 21, 2011 (Sunday) $10 Landing Fee
Warbirds O’er Northford (Fun Fly): 07/30/2011 (Saturday) $10 Landing Fee
Neighbors Picnic: September 11, 2011 *10 year remembrance of 9/11* Moment of Silence
New Business:
Press Release from Airport/Tweed: Club at the airport/www.tweedairport.com
Set up a table/ October 1st or 2nd for benefit of Angel Flights
Good cause: AJ will volunteer a couple of Giant Scales
Membership to discuss mid-summer as event draws closer.
New Members: Pete Berardi & Rich Stempick
Membership voted in new members. Motion to accept new member/ Vote was unanimous.
Radio vote at the next meeting. All changes to field regulations have to go out in email before next vote.
Charlie Doane inquired on rolling the field this year.
It is in the budget. We will do that when the field is drier.
Porto-Potty: Dennis will call and arrange for this season.
April 23rd will be the Field Maintenance Day: Dennis will run it this year. Tents will go up.
Adam Martin brought up the mulch. It hasn’t been done in the last few years. Loren wants to get price on the stone instead of mulch as it will last longer and provide more drainage.
